| The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1998 to start a 4-year B.E. degree programme affiliated to the Madras University. The first batch of students graduated from the department in the year 2002. Consequent upon the establishment of Anna University in Chennai, the affiliation of the programm was shifted to the new University from 2003 onwards. |
